The Law Offices of Dianne Glenn provides quality legal services for working people, who do not qualify for pro bono or reduced fee services. With limited exceptions, Family Law litigants do not have a right to have legal counsel appointed for them if they are unable to pay attorney fees.

The Law Offices of Dianne Glenn is a unique Family Law Firm, because it is 90% concentrated on representing people who are not married and married people who have not filed for dissolution. The practice also includes representation for uncontested and contested divorces.

In New Jersey, non-married litigants, or married litgants who have not yet filed for divorce, with issues involving Custody, Visitation,  College Contribution, Child Support, or Seperation Maintenance are referred to the Non-Dissolution Unit to file an application. In Essex County, the Non-Dissolution unit is located at the Family Court, 212 Washington Street, 13th Floor, Room 1365, in Newark. If you have an active restraining order, either party must file the application on the 12th Floor, Room 1265.

The Law Offices of Dianne Glenn are located at 17 Academy Street, Fifth Floor, Suite 517 in Newark, adjacent to the Family Court at the Halsey Street entrance.

It is my strong belief that matters involving Family Law, with the exception of Domestic Violence, should be resolved by the parties themselves, not the court system. In furtherance of that belief, I am also a Certified Mediator. Harmony Family Mediation Center LLC, provides parents an opportunity to discuss openly, without time limits, issues regarding Child Support, Visitation, and Custody.

Mediation should be a party's first goal. However, I recognize that most parties file an application with the court system because they have tried to talk to the other party and are not able to communicate and resolve the conflict. If that is your situation, mediation may not be the best alternative to litigation.
